  • WEDDING FAQs

    Wedding FAQs

Please contact our wedding director if you have any questions we don’t answer below.

I see the wedding and honeymoon packages and the prices; does that include the cost of the rooms?

The wedding packages include only the items you see listed. Travel packages are additional. You can get the rates for travel by contacting a Smugglers Cove reservation agent.

Is the reception included in the all- inclusive package?

Smugglers Cove Resort & Spa offers you the option of having up to twenty guests total seated in one of the restaurants on the evening of your wedding as part of the all inclusive package, as long as they are all guests of the resort and dining from the regularly served menu. This is not a private reception. Your guests will be seated at tables near each other, but among the other guests dining in the restaurant that evening. With this option you can also have guests from off property, as long as the total of your group is not more than 20 persons and all off property guests pay for a day pass. Should your party be more than 20 persons or if you want a private reception or music and dancing at your reception you can contact the wedding director for further reception pricing and options.

Will I have a wedding director at the resort?

When you check in, you will receive a wedding packet from the Smugglers Cove wedding director. Your wedding briefing is then usually held a day or two after your arrival. This will give you the opportunity to meet with your wedding director to finalise the details of your big day. At this time, your director will go through the procedure of your wedding day and the vows that will be exchanged. Feel free to add to the wedding vows with a family prayer or your own written vows. This is also your time to consult with the photographer.

How many weddings does Smugglers Cove Resort & Spa have each day?

The resort may hold up to three weddings per day, but we ensure a gap of approximately 2 to 3 hours between each ceremony. We want you to feel totally unique and special – the way you should on this very special day.

Can same sex couples have a civil partnership ceremony?

Regrettably, St Lucian law does not enable us to offer same sex civil partnerships at Smugglers Cove Resort & Spa.

What days and times can I schedule my wedding?

Weddings can be scheduled Monday through Saturday from 10am until 4pm. In compliance with local statutes, Smugglers Cove does not perform weddings on Sundays, public or religious holidays, and all ceremonies must be completed by sundown.

    Can I customise my reception?

Of course! Please contact our hotel wedding director to plan the reception. Reception costs will vary according to customisation and are payable directly to the resort; prices and deposits can be advised by the wedding director.

    Are children welcome?

Children under 16 are welcome for the ceremony; non-resident day pass charges apply if attending from off property.

Can I bring my own Photographer?

You are allowed to bring your own personal photographer with you to Smugglers Cove Resort & Spa. Should you decide to bring in your own photographer, there will be a surcharge to your wedding package of $350US.
